Our “Summer Tapas’ Class is all about learning to integrate the health benefits of the Mediterranean Diet with the authentic flavours of rural and coastal Australia. According to the Royal Spanish Academy, tapas is ‘a small portion of any food served to accompany a drink.’ During this cooking class you will spend time foraging, harvesting, cooking and learning about the different cultural regions and flavours that influence the heart of Australian cuisine. After our morning of preparing and cooking, we will enjoy a relaxing lunch matched with some of Australia’s finest organic and biodynamic wines. While the exact historical and cultural details of the true origin of tapas are uncertain, there are various legends up for speculation. We will let you decide your pick on the day! Leave feeling blissful and with both tales to tell and authentic recipes to excite and inspire your dinner guests.

    We spent the day at Bhavana Organic Farm + Cooking School and it was an absolute treat. We had six days in Byron on our honeymoon and this was a perfect activity to do up in the hinterland. It was incredibly relaxing, the scenery was stunning, food was delicious and educating, and most importantly the company was welcoming and warming. Highly recommend for any couple or individual visiting the Byron region.
