This exclusive and intimate one day cooking workshop, held on 125 acres, nestled in the heart of Byron’s hinterland explores the synergistic relationship between nutrition, gut health, and adrenal fatigue. With a Focus on experiential education for healing, rejuvenation and restoration.

What can I expect from this workshop?

Led by Joanna Rushton, holistic wellness coach, energy medicine therapist, author and teacher.

Jo will lead you through two days of nourishment, education, and hands-on practical experiences, you will take away and implement in REAL life.

We will be deep diving into:

  • True nutrition and how to apply fundamental principles to your everyday.
  • How to overcome chronic tiredness by healing and restoring your adrenals
  • How to heal your gut and overcome digestive issues
  • How food affects your mood, your relationship to food, your body’s biofeedback and how to hear it, and how to eat for YOU.
  • You will spend time harvesting produce in Bhavana’s organic garden. As part of the cooking school experience, you will be creating decadent and healthy food, which will nourish and uplift you, while learning how to implement all you have learnt into your kitchen.

    WOW what a day! Awesome and would highly recommend. I was pretty nervous heading out to a “Cooking Class” for the first time, but as soon as I arrived all the nerves disappeared when we were greeted by our awesome hosts. The kitchen was warm and friendly as was the whole environment around the area. I learnt heaps through out the day and i felt so privileged to be there around great people who genuinely wanted to help us all learn and grow. I’m looking forward to me next adventure out to Bhavana! Thanks team!!!

    Thank you to Jo, Greta and Georgia for an inspiring, informative and thoroughly enjoyable gut health and adrenal fatigue workshop. Greta welcomed us warmly upon arrival, and I felt instantly comfortable in the cosy, beautifully equipped converted dairy. The surrounds are magnificent, and it is obvious Greta and her husband take great pride in caring for their land. I thoroughly enjoyed picking fresh herbs and greens from Greta’s abundant vegetable garden, and learning about the many benefits of specific plants.

    Back inside, Jo demonstrated an astounding depth of knowledge around gut health and adrenal fatigue, and was generous in sharing her wisdom with us all. I particularly appreciated her willingness to answer questions and offer specific, achievable suggestions to implement in our everyday lives. The key learning of the day for me was around the importance of routine, rhythm and rest.

    Throughout the day we enjoyed the perfect mix of informative discussions, cooking demonstrations and opportunity to prepare and cook ourselves. The recipes were clear and easy to follow, and the kitchen is well-equipped. The ladies were always available to answer any questions and offer helpful hints and tricks of the trade.

    The Bhavana ladies set the long shared table with love and care, and it added to the warm ambience of the space. It was a real pleasure sitting down together to enjoy the delicious meals we had all contributed to preparing and cooking. Taylor’s tai chi following the meal was calming, grounding and certainly aided digestion. I would recommend Bhavana cooking school without hesitation, and I look forward to returning again myself in the near future.
