Bhavana is committed to providing quality services to you and this policy outlines our ongoing obligations to you in respect of how we manage your Personal Information.

All information that we receive from our customers and members is protected by our secure server. The Bhavana secure server software encrypts all customer information before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all customer data collected is secured against unauthorized use or access.

We do not sell personal information to anyone and only share it with third parties who are facilitating the delivery of Bhavana services by your consent.

About the Personal Information you give us:
Membership
When you become a subscriber of Bhavana, we collect information about you including: your name, your address (including your country location) and your email address.

We process your personal information for subscription administration, to deliver subscription benefits to you, and to inform you of Bhavana related events, content, and other benefits or opportunities associated with your Bhavana subscription

Live Events
Bhavana hosts live events throughout the year. These may include cooking classes, retreats, educational programs and live webinars (collectively “events”). If you register for one of our events, we will collect your name and contact information, which we will store in our database and use to provide you with information and services associated with the event.

We will keep a record of your participation in Bhavana events as an attendee. This information may be used to tell you about other events and services that Bhavana provides.

We may use third parties to provide services for educational experiences or residential and Non-residential Retreats. Your personal information will be stored in our database and may also be shared with our third party service providers in order to book and provide services offered in our educational and retreat packages.

We will use all reasonable means to protect the confidentiality of your Personal Data while in our possession or control. We will not knowingly share any of your Personal Data with any third party, other than our service providers who assist us in providing the information and/or services we are providing to you. To the extent that we do share your personal information with a service provider, we would only do so if that party has agreed to comply with our privacy standards as described in this privacy policy.

Your Correspondence with Bhavana
If you correspond with us via email, the postal service, or any other form of communication, we may retain such correspondence and the information contained therein and use it to respond to your enquiry; to notify you of Bhavana events, or other services; or to keep a record of your complaint, accommodation request and the like. You may unsubscribe from our mailing/marketing list at any time by utilising the “unsubscribe” link provided in our marketing emails, or by contacting us in writing via email at: info@bhavanacookingschool.com

By clicking on the “unsubscribe” link, you will be presented with the options to:

  • Unsubscribe and stop permission for Bhavana to send you marketing emails.
  • Unsubscribe and stop permission for Bhavana to send you marketing emails PLUS revoke your permission for The Sirius Library to use any of your personal data.
  • Additionally, you will also receive the option to request that Bhavana delete all of your data.

Payment Card Information
You may choose to purchase goods or services from Bhavana using a payment card. Typically, payment card information is provided directly by users, via Bhavana website, into the PCI/DSS-compliant payment processing services to which Bhavana subscribes, and Bhavana does not, itself, process or store the card information. Occasionally, customers ask Bhavana administration employees to, on their behalf, enter payment information into the PCI/DSS-compliant payment processing services to which Bhavana subscribes. We strongly encourage you not to submit this information by email. When Bhavana employees receive payment card information from customers by email, phone or postal mail, it is entered as instructed and then deleted or destroyed. Payment card information is not stored by us on our servers.

Use of Bhavana website
Like most websites, Bhavana website collects certain information automatically. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses; the region or general location where your computer or device is accessing the internet; browser type; operating system and other usage information about the use of Bhavana website, including a history of pages that you view. We use this information to assist us to design our website to better suit our users’ needs.
